Principal's News

Summer is almost over and school is just around the corner. We are excited for another school year to begin. Below are some common questions and answers that you may have. If you would like more information, please contact the school office at (641) 682-8826.

Q: What is the school's drop off and pick up policy?

A: Morning:  The student is to arrive by 8:10 a.m. but no earlier than 7:45 a.m.  Opening prayer and classes begin at 8:10 a.m. and dismissal is at 3:15 p.m. except on in-service days as indicated on the calendar. Students arriving will go directly to the lunchroom. Those participating in the breakfast program will eat while the others will wait for their teacher to pick them up at 8:05.  Breakfast will be served at 7:45 until 8:00 a.m.

Dismissal: The bus students are dismissed from the Fourth Street door.  All other students are dismissed from the north door.  Parents are to drive into the Seton parking lot counter-clockwise. If someone other than a designated person is to pick up a child, Seton Catholic School must have a written permission slip or a phone call from the parent. Seton Catholic School will not release a child to anyone without permission from the child’s parent.

Preschool drop off at the Annex for All Day 4 year old students is in the parking lot of the East Entrance to the First United Methodist Church. All preschool program hours are located under Preschool of the ENROLLMENT tab.

Q: Where can I find the school supply list?

A: Class lists can be found in the ENROLLMENT tab of the website.

Q: How can I get involved in my child's education at school?

A: Home and School provides services to the teachers and students by way of supporting events and coordinating volunteers. Home and School membership is expected of all Seton parents and guardians. Annual dues are collected at registration.  Home and School meets @ 6:00pm in the school cafeteria on the first Tuesday of each month.

Q: When is the first day of school?

A: The first day of school for K-5 students is Thursday, August 24. Preschool will begin on Wednesday, August 31. Check out our school calendar for more details. Have specific calendar event reminders sent to you automatically via email or text message from the calendar.
